With its bell tower topped by a campanile, the church of La Farlède is easy to find. Built in the centre of the village in the 18th century, it was consecrated to the Virgin Mary under the name of the Immaculate Conception.

Description

Built from 1751 to 1755, this Romanesque style church is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, as shown by the painting above the high altar, which was placed on 8 December 1755, the day the church was blessed. There are two pictures painted by J.L. Panisse in 1785, one of which represents Saint Peter imprisoned and delivered by an angel, and the other one represents the judgment of Saint Christina, patron saint of Solliès-Pont.
The cross, which is now leaning at the bottom of a niche next to the Virgin of Lourdes, was acquired by our church from the Jesuits of Toulon together with various objects, as well as the altar of Saint Jean. The statue of the Virgin holding the Child Jesus in her arms on the altar of the Virgin dates back to 1727.
